Hello everyone and WELCOME TO THE REAL ESTATE MARKET IN THE CAPITAL DISTRICT, To begin with I need to start by saying that as a resident and as a Realtorฎ of the Capital District, I am very proud of being a part of this community and glad that I also own my little piece of Real Estate. The Capital District has so much to offer to its community; it is the ideal location to live, work, and most important to raise your family in. From here the residents can find themselves anywhere in the Northeastern US. Like any of these major city centers, including Boston, New York City and Montreal, which are easy three hour drives. Locally you will find within the capital of New York: Albany County, Schenectady County, Rensselaer County, and Saratoga County.

 

The Capital District is an imprecise regional definition (much like Upstate New York) that generally refers to the four counties surrounding Albany, the capital of New York: Albany County, Schenectady County, Rensselaer County, and Saratoga County (historically, Saratoga County was not considered part of the region, however, it has had significant suburban growth from the adjoining counties since 1980). According to a report by the Capital District Regional Planning Commission released on November 19th, 2008 the gross product of the area is $70.1 billion USD.

 

Saratoga Springs,Troy, and charming villages, such as Ballston Spa and Round Lake are some of the other cities you will find with beautiful and peaceful pieces of Real Estate. You’ll never be too far from work, shopping, restaurants and schools when you live here. The Capital Region is city and country, four-season, beautiful, and energized, but always serene and a great place to relocate your business and your family.

 

The Capital District Real Estate market is unique. It encompasses several outlying counties and housing choices are varied and plentiful.
